We are pleased to announce that The Faculty of Medicine together with the AAU Technology Transfer Office (AAU TTO) is now opening the call NextGen AAU Life Science Innovators.

The Faculty of Medicine has a large untapped potential in translating groundbreaking research into tangible solutions and measurable impact for the benefit of society. Therefore, The Faculty of Medicine wishes to support two early-stage innovation projects with initial funding for technology maturation in 2025.

Researchers, including PhD students from the Department of Health Science and Technology and the Department of Clinical Medicine are invited to present their innovative ideas in a pitch event for a panel consisting of business developers from the AAU TTO, experienced researchers, and industry experts in a closed, confidential, and informal forum.

The two best project ideas can obtain financial support of DKK 50.000 to mature and further develop their ideas towards invention disclosure and commercialization.

NB: All researchers participating in the NextGen AAU Life Science Innovators event are subsequently given the opportunity to receive sparring and guidance regarding their idea by a business developer from the AAU TTO.

Furthermore, the initiative should be seen as a steppingstone and motivator for all participants to prepare and apply for other types of innovation funding and programs.
